Kid's Breakfast Recipes:

Dutch Baby                                Easy
Ingredients:
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons butter
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Mix all above ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
3. Coat 11 inch by 9 inch pan with cooking spray. Pour batter into pan. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Bake approximately 20 minutes.

 

Toy's Breakfast                            Easy
Ingredients:
6 eggs
ham slices
sour cream
cheddar cheese
1.  Spray 9 x 11 inch pan with cooking spray and layer bottom of pan with the ham slices.
2. Put shredded cheese over ham, making 6 nests.
3.  Break an egg into each nest, while being careful not to break the yolks.
4. Put a dollop of sour cream on each egg.
5. Bake at 3500 for 20-30 minutes or until eggs are set.

 


French Toast PB & J                      Easy
Ingredients:
bread
peanut butter
jelly
3 eggs
milk
1.  Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
2. Combine eggs with a little milk in a shallow bowl.
3. Dip sandwich in egg mixture to coat both sides, and place in skillet at medium heat. Cook on both sides until golden brown.

 

 


Peanut Butter and Banana Toast             Easy

Ingredients:
bread
butter
peanut butter
banana
1. Toast the bread.
2.  Spread on butter, then peanut butter.
3. Slice the banana and put the slices on top.

 


Egg and Sausage Bake                   Medium

Ingredients:
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup biscuit baking mix
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon oregano
1 pound pork sausage
1. Brown the sausage and drain.
2.  Mix together all the ingredients and pour into a 13 inch by 9 inch casserole dish. 
3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
4.  Bake uncovered in preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes. Casserole is done when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serves approximately 10 people.

 


Oatmeal Scones                      Medium/Hard
Ingredients:
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup softened butter
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup sour milk (milk with 2 teaspoons vinegar added)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Mix dry ingredients. 
2. Cut in butter and raisins.
3. Stir in enough sour milk to moisten.
4. Divide the dough into three pieces. Flour hands and pat each piece into 1/2 inch thick circles. Cut these into quarters.
5. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

 


Breakfast Pizza                       Medium/Hard

Ingredients:
1 can crescent rolls, at room temperature
1 roll of breakfast sausage
3 eggs, beaten lightly
1 cup frozen shredded hash browns
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1.  Brown and crumble the sausage.
2. Warm oven to 350 degrees. Spray baking/pizza pan with cooking spray.
3. Gently stretch 8 sections of crescent roll dough to fit pan and pinch sections together.
4. Add eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Sprinkle cheese on top.
5. Bake for 15 minutes or until crust is a nice brown color!

 

 


Easy Cinnamon Rolls                     Easy

Ingredients:
crescent rolls
marshmallows
about 1/2 cup melted butter
mixture of cinnamon and sugar
1. Wrap each crescent roll around each marshmallow, forming a ball with no holes.
2.  Dip the ball into the melted butter and then roll it in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
3. Put the balls in muffin tins and bake per the crescent roll directions.

 


My Dad's Pancakes                  Easy

Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1/2 cup "Body Ripped" Cookies 'n' Cream protein powder
2 tablespoons raw sugar
2 Eggs
1. Mix flour, sugar and protein powder into large bowl.
2. Add eggs and then slowly mix in the milk until desired consistency (more or less milk may be used for thick or thin pancakes) is reached.
3. Add golden syrup and mix in.
4.  Cook pancakes on medium heat in a frying pan for several minutes on each side until golden brown. Enjoy with favourite topping!
 
Note: An alternate protein powder can be used to vary this recipe, or it may be omitted entirely.

 


Egg Dish                                 Easy

Ingredients:
8 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon garlic salt
7 ounce can diced green chiles (or a sweet pepper)
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 tomato, chopped
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
salsa
sour cream
1.  Combine eggs, milk, garlic salt, chiles, green onions, tomato, and cheese.
2. Pour into a greased shallow 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve immediately with salsa and sour cream. Serves 6-8.

 

Crunchy Breakfast Casserole             Medium
Ingredients:
8 cups hashbrowns
2 cups ham, cubed
2 cups sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped onions
salt and pepper to taste
  Crunchy topping:
  1/2 cup cornflakes, crushed
  1/4 cup butter, melted

1. Mix together everything except the crunchy topping ingredients.
2. Spread mixture evenly into a baking dish.
3. Mix together the crushed cornflakes and melted butter and sprinkle evenly across top of casserole.
4.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. 
 

 

Baked French Toast                   Medium
Ingredients:
8 ounces stale bread, remove crusts and cut into cubes
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups of milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup brown sugar

1. Butter a 9 inch by 9 inch baking dish. Place the bread cubes on the bottom. 
2. Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla in a bowl until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour this over bread cubes and cover. Chill for one hour. 
3. Once chilled, make the topping:
In a small bowl, stir together butter and brown sugar with a fork until mixture is crumbly and butter is evenly distributed. Sprinkle this mixture over the soaked bread cubes. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.
